On the Trail of Nature
The Nature Park of the Ziller Valley Alps covers a surface of 379 km² and comprehends the impressive natural and cultural landscape on the northern part of the main alpine ridge. A mighty glacier, deep blue mountain lakes and extensive alpine pastures have shaped in the centuries this country and its people.

In Mayrhofen, entrance of the Nature Park, the back part of the Ziller Valley branches into lateral valleys like the fingers of the hand. The Nature Park at an altitude of 1,000 m in Ginzling extends to the Hochfeiler at 3,509 m and crosses all altitudes of the Central Alps.
Since 2008 the town of Tux has been officially included in the High Nature Park of the Ziller Valley Alps. After adjusting the borders, the surface of the Nature Park gained 7 km² for a total of 379 km².
